High Intensity Discharge (HID) Grow Light Systems are the choice of serious indoor growers because they outperform other lamp types in spectral balance and lumen-per-watt efficiency. HID systems include Pulse Start Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium lights, each offering light spectrum similar to actual sunlight.

High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lamps emit an orange tinted light and promotes flowering yield. HPS lights can be used exclusively during the flowering phase, or in addition to a metal halide light.

A 400-watt HID grow light system will illuminate a 4 x 4 area well. Hang the lamp at least 1 - 2 feet above plants.

HID ballasts are designed to power specific lamp types and wattages. Buying a complete system ensures compatibility. All Grow Light Systems include ballast, lamp, standard reflector, socket, and cordset.

Lamps are exclusively made by major United States brands including GE, Osram, and Philips. Ballasts are exclusively made by major United States brands including Venture, Universal, and Advance.

All systems are Made in the USA and tested before shipping. All systems are UL Compliant and CSA listed.
