Access Fixtures’ linear fluorescent high bay fixtures are ideal for light
industrial use, heavy commercial use, big box retail, schools and school gymnasiums,
health clubs, civic centers and many other applications/locations. T5HO High
Bay Fluorescent Fixtures and T8 High Bay Fluorescent Fixtures and fixtures enable
the benefits of fluorescent to be applied to high mounting heights that were
previously exclusive to HID. The primary benefits of T5HO High Bay Fluorescent
Fixtures and T8 High Bay Fluorescent Fixtures include high color rendering (CRI),
superior system efficacy, 93% lumen maintenance, long lamp life, instant on
and instant re-strike, and more uniform lumen distribution.
If you know what you need linear fluorescent high bay fixtures, you can place
your order online or via phone now. If you need more information on T5HO High
Bay Fluorescent Fixtures and T8 High Bay Fluorescent Fixtures, it is presented
below or you may contact one of the Access Fixtures’ Lighting Specialists

T5 High Output (T5HO) lighting is one of the latest incarnations of linear fluorescent
lamp technology. As linear fluorescent lighting has evolved, the diameter of
the tubes has decreased, the life of the lamps has increased, the energy efficiency
has increased, and the color rendering (CRI) has improved. Because of the benefits
of T5HO lighting, T5HO Linear Fluorescent High Bay fixtures are being specified
more and more in applications where previously H.I.D. technology such as Metal
Halide or High Pressure Sodium was used. T5HO linear fluorescent high bay light
fixtures deliver energy efficiency and consequently cost effective illumination
for most indoor general purpose lighting applications where the ceiling height
is 15’ or higher. Typical applications for high bay linear fluorescent
fixtures are warehouse facilities, assembly areas, gyms, hangars, transportation
garages, loading and staging areas, light industrial use, big box retail, schools
and school gymnasiums, health clubs, civic centers and other applications/locations.
Linear fluorescent high bays are a superior lighting technology for most high
ceiling interior applications with the exceptions being dirty heavy industrial
application and some cold locations.
T5HO Fluorescent High Bay Fixtures are specifically designed to replace H.I.D.
lighting for most applications. Linear Fluorescent High Bays and specifically
T5HO high bay lighting is an environmentally friendly lighting solution because
it significantly reduces energy use as compared to Metal Halide technology,
which was previously the most common lighting specified and installed in commercial/industrial
applications. Standard 400-watt metal halide fixtures which are rated for 36,000
initial lumens lose as much as 45% of their lighting over the life of the lamp.
This is known as Lumen depreciation. In other words at about the mid point of
the life of the lamp, the fixture will put out 28,000 lumens. Near the average
end of lamp life it will put out about 20,000 lumens.
T5HO Fluorescent High Bay fixture lamps only have about 6% Lumen depreciation
over the life of the lamp. A six lamp T5HO is rated for 30,000 initial lumens
and at the end of lamp life the fixture is still generating over 28,000 lumens.
The maintained lumen output is virtually the same for most of the life of the
product and as the end of life nears, it is significantly exceeds the 400 watt
Metal Halide fixture. A six lamp 54-watt T5HO high bay uses only 342 watts as
compared to the metal halide which consumes 454 watts. This is a startling 25%
savings in energy usage. Additionally, T5HO linear fluorescent high bay fixtures
produce brighter more even illumination, have instant on/instant re-strike,
and have significantly higher CRI.
Below is a chart on the light output and cost reduction of a 400 watt Metal
Halide lighting system v. a 4 lamp or 6 lamp T5HO Linear Fluorescent High Bay
Lighting Fixture. The 6 lamp T5HO is a more precise match because of the seemingly
closer lumens. The 4 lamp version is included because it is used as a replacement
for 400 w metal halide high bays, since the end of life lumens are close, light
distribution is better, and the light quality is far superior. In many instances
the light output is more than sufficient. Payback on the 6 lamp T5HO High Bay
is just over 3 years based on the average selling price of an Access Fixtures
6 lamp T5HO High Bay. Payback is under 2 years for a 4 lamp T5HO High Bay. Another
way to look at this is each year your organization fails to switch from 400w
MH to T5HO it is losing either $50 or $100 per fixture. It should be noted that
T5HO fixtures can be used with motion detectors reducing on time reducing energy
use and financial loss even more. To find out your actual loss, contact an Access
Fixtures Lighting Specialist via phone at 888.521.2582, email or Live Chat.

T5HO Linear Fluorescent High Bay fixtures may qualify for energy rebates from
your local power company and/or tax credits or tax deductions form the federal
and/or your state government.

T5 High Output Linear Fluorescent Benefits
Energy Efficiency – A 54 Watt T5 HO (High Output) bulb produces 5,000
Lumens or 85 Lumens per watt which is considered to be very high efficacy.
Lumen Maintenance - With less than 7% Lumen depreciation the T5HO High Bays
remain bright and energy efficient over the entire life of the lamp.
No Color Shift – The color of the light remains constant over the course
of the life of the lamp
Instant On- T5HO Linear Fluorescent Fixtures turn on instantly and come on bright
Instant Re-strike – T5HO Linear Fluorescent Fixtures come back on even
after a power interuption
Occupancy Sensor – Packaged with a programmed start ballast T5HO Linear
Fluorescent Fixtures work great with occupancy sensors and/or photo cells. The
lamps do not suffer any loss of life
Superior Color Rendering – T5HO Linear Fluorescent Fixtures have lamps
that have have a Color Rendering Index (CRI)of 83 while Metal Halide has a CRI
of about 63
Metal Halide High Bay Advantages
Metal Halide has traditionally been the common solution in High Bay applications
because of their versatile features. Metal Halide high bay features include:
