WORCESTER, Mass., Jan. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Access Fixtures has expanded its LED product line to include T8 LED Vapor Tight High Bays and T8 LED Wrap Around Fixtures. Previously an industry standard with T8 fluorescent lamps, the fixtures are now available with T8 LED retrofit tube lights instead of fluorescent tubes to save energy and reduce maintenance. Able to operate on 120v to 277v, the fixtures are ideal for use in warehouses, retail spaces, offices, and other industrial and commercial applications. The vapor-tight fixtures are able to be used in applications where dust or moisture is present.

“The introduction of these two fixtures creates a very low-cost LED option for vapor tight and basic wrap around fixtures,” said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. “Instead of buying T8 fluorescent fixtures for commercial or industrial spaces, property managers can now choose LED for close to the same price, while getting the energy savings, low maintenance and high CRI supplied by T8 LED tube lights.”

These new fixtures are built to work with T8 LED tube lamps. T8 LED tube lights are a cost-effective and energy-efficient alternative to T8 and T12 lamps. Manufactured with integral drivers, the luminaires do not require a ballast or driver. The T8 LED tube lights operate on 120 to 277 line voltage, have twice the life of T8 linear fluorescent lamps, emit 10% higher lumens per watt as compared to T8 fluorescent, and direct the light down to where the light is needed. The T8 LED tube lamps are rated LM70 at 50,000 hours of use. Furthermore, the LED tube lights have a CRI of 80+ and do not contain mercury.
