Yet another Access Fixtures team member earned a Lighting Specialist 1 (LS1) Certification from NAILD, the National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors. Sales manager, Dan Rodriguez, completed the program and earned his LS1 certification. NAILD’s goal is to increase the effectiveness of lighting manufacturers and distributors by educating members about the lighting industry. Dan joins merchandising manage, Lindsey Allen who recently received her LS1 certification.

The LS1 program is designed to help lighting industry professionals become competent in their knowledge of lighting concepts. Lighting professionals can receive an LS1 certification after completing an online program, which is separated into modules. The modules include subjects such as probe start metal halide as compared to pulse start metal halide; the differences between fluorescent lighting types such as T12, T8 and T5; and LEDs. The information includes the science behind lighting as well as how light is created, distributed, and seen.

Congratulations Dan!
