WORCESTER, Mass., March 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Constant improvements in LED technology are enabling Access Fixtures, a leader in commercial and sports lighting, to produce a new tennis court lighting system with much higher light output. The newest LED tennis court lighting package increases light levels to a club-level performance of more than 47 foot-candles over the entire court area while achieving extremely even light levels, a max/min ratio of only 2.4. Access Fixtures club-level performance LED tennis court lighting systems are now rated LM70 for 100,000 hours, reducing maintenance and energy use. The new club-level performance system retails under $23,000.

“Previously it was difficult and expensive to achieve club-level performance with LED light sources,” said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. He continued, “In 2014 it is possible, and based on system cost, energy efficiency, lower maintenance, and light quality, LED tennis court lighting is becoming the logical choice.”

Access Fixtures’ newest club level performance LED tennis court lights produce an average of 47.36 foot-candles over the entire court area, providing even, high CRI, white light for tennis matches. Each LED luminaire produces over 53,000 lumens while using only 378 watts for an incredible 140 lumens per watt. Mean luminaire lumens exceeds that of 1000w Metal Halide while using only 4536 watts which is 48% less energy than Metal Halide. The LED luminaires are rated for LM70 at 100,000 hours and have a 5-year warranty. LED tennis court lighting systems include 20′ poles, mounting hardware and high performance LED luminaires.
