10-Lamp Cases of 17w T8 LED Lamps
17w T8 LED Tube lamps, also known as T8 tubes or T8 TLEDs, are energy-efficient, lumen-boosting replacements for T8 or T12 fluorescent lamps. These 4-foot, 17-watt lamps use internal drivers, not existing fluorescent ballasts. You can use or remove the existing sockets (i.e., if your shunted tombstones are in good condition, leave them in! If you prefer to use new, non-shunted tombstones, these lamps will work with those as well). They use medium bi-pin bases.
For more information on rewiring your T8 or T12 fixtures for these T8 LED lamps, read here. Of course, you can always call a lighting specialist at 800-468-9925 for more options or information.
17w T8 LED Tube: Rated Life, Kelvin Temperature, CRI, and Voltage
Each 17w T8 LED Tube is rated for 50,000 hours. This means that, at 50,000 hours, their output will by 70% as strong as it was when they were first installed (they will continue to operate long beyond that time, though this is the point at which many people consider replacing their lamps).
Each 17w T8 LED Tube delivers 2,100 lumens (124 lumens/watt) and are available in your choice of 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K. At a high CRI of 82, colors under the light of these T8 LED tubes will be clear and accurate. This makes these 17w T8 LED Tube lamps ideal for mechanic shops, retail locations, paint booths, artist studios, and anywhere that requires detail-oriented work with colors. Keep in mind, too, that these lamps use directional LEDs. Unlike fluorescent tubes, which send light in all directions (including back into the fixture housing), these units send their light straight down to where you want it.
Remember also to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of Kelvin higher Kelvin temperatures. While higher Kelvin temperatures like 5000K will deliver more visible lumens, they are also harsher to the human eye. Some applications or facilities aren’t suited for these high Kelvin temperatures because the bright blue-white light can become distracting or uncomfortable. However, lower Kelvin temperatures like 3000K may not match existing lighting or deliver the right kind of light, either. To discuss Kelvin temperature with a lighting specialist, call us at 800-468-9925.
These lamps will automatically detect line voltages between 120v and 277v.

Step #1: Use the drop-down menu at the top of this page to select your desired Kelvin temperature. Kelvin temperature is the industry standard for measuring the color of emitted light; these lamps come in 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K. Higher Kelvin temperatures emit whiter/bluer light; lower Kelvin temperatures emit light closer to the yellow/orange end of the white-light spectrum. Read more about Kelvin temperature here.
