No UV – No Light Under 450nm Emitted Ever
No UV – No Light Under 450nm APTA luminaires are constructed with LEDs that do not emit any light within the UV spectrum or light below 450nm. Historically, UV emission was “blocked” with polyethylene terephthalic (PET) coatings. When the PET coating was used on T8 and T12 fluorescent lamps, the lamps were referred to as gold lamps. The coatings were also used as filters on top of lenses that secure onto or in front of light fixtures. These older methods were good, but the PET coatings were expensive, the light levels were low, and facilities still had to replace lamps quite often. The PET lenses tended to be very fragile, too, making them easy to damage during transit or installation. Any scratches or damage to the PET coatings would prevent the fixtures from doing their job. If a filter was damaged or degraded due to heat, production runs could be effected or lost.
APTA 160 LED No UV – No Light Below 450nm High Bay, IP67, 120-277v luminaires emit no-UV lighting without the need of lenses, filters or PET coatings. In other words, NO FILTERS. No filters means no filter degradation. LEDs that do no emit any UV or light under 450nm ever means consistent, reliable, flicker-free UV-free lighting for the entire lifetime of the fixtures.
No UV – No Light Under 450nm and No Glare
APTA 160 LED No UV – No Light Below 450nm High Bay, IP67, 120-277v luminaires have an optical diffuser which blends the light emitted by the LEDs creating a soft-focus, no-glare effect. The result is extremely even and cohesive light distribution.

Need a Photometric Analysis for Your Project?
A photometric analysis is a computer simulation of how specified lighting will illuminate a facility, providing information such as how many footcandles of light will be emitted on the work surface and how even the lighting will be. .Consider getting a photometric study to ensure the light levels your facility requires are delivered.
