WORCESTER, Mass., July 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Access Fixtures has expanded its line of LED bollard lights adding a version with type 5 optics and new more powerful 12 watt omni-directional LED light source. The new high performance 12 watt LED version provides an added 200 lumens and superior light distribution as compared to the older 8 watt versions, facilitating a material increase in light output and enhanced light distribution. Access Fixtures bollard lights are used to illuminate sidewalks, pathways and landscapes in commercial, municipal and residential areas.

“Access Fixtures bollard lights continue to increase in quality and efficiency,” said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. He continued, “The new 12 watt LED light source enables Access Fixtures to offer a superior, low-energy, cost effective solution, LED light bollard with type 5 optics.”

The new 12w LED bollard light adds to Access Fixtures extensive line of bollard lights. While only 12 watts, the LED has the light output equivalent of a 60 watt incandescent lamp and the light is unimpeded by louvers or reflectors. In addition to being energy efficient, the LED bollard light is durable and requires reduced maintenance due to the extended life of the LED light source. The design of the omni-directional luminaire allows for a 360° degree beam spread. With a standard borosilicate glass diffuser, the LED bollard light has minimal to no glare. Both the light bollard and LED light source are RoHS compliant. Bollard lights with type 5 glass are Access Fixtures top-selling bollard lights because type 5 optics emit the most light per watt and distribute light evenly over a broad area.
