WORCESTER, Mass., Oct. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — When meeting with commercial and hospitality property managers, a common theme is that landscape lighting used to illuminate areas like signs, monuments, and trees are frequently broken by vandalism or daily wear and tear from rocks, branches and even weed wackers. When the glass lens breaks, this allows moisture to break the lamp as well as damage or destroy internal components. Because of this, the fixtures often need to be replaced. Access Fixtures developed a new and effective solution that is now gaining wide acceptance by property managers and architects. Instead of using glass, the LG LED light modules are mounted in aluminum. This eliminates the need for glass, which is the primary point of initial failure.

“In the book, Do More Faster, Neil Robertson is quoted as saying ‘As long as I listen to my customers, I never need to have another original idea,'” said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. He continued, “We listened to our clients’ important and unsolved problem, and provided a solution: a durable, reliable and energy-efficient luminaire for landscape lighting.”

Access Fixture vandal-resistant LED landscape lighting uses 12 watt light engine modules. Each module is rated for 50,000 hours and emits 1300 lumens with a CRI of 70+. The LED landscape luminaires are available in four Kelvin temperatures and various wattages, sizes, and styles to suit most applications. The housing of the fixtures is constructed of heavy-duty cast aluminum to withstand the elements and collisions with lawn mowers as well as vandalism. All vandal-resistant wall packs are IP67 rated for outdoor use. The Lawnmower vs. Access Fixtures LED Landscape Lighting video demonstrates the durability of the luminaire.
