Good day, dear readers, Access Fixtures here with, you guessed it, more LED news!
A city in Florida, St. Augustine, has transformed a city parking garage with LED fixtures. While the switch was mostly covered by a federal grant, the city expects that the lights will pay for themselves in under two years. These new LED lights are also great for taxpayers. They are reducing budget spending with their low energy and maintenance costs. In their very first month they saved the city about $3,000 dollars! These parking garage LEDs also have motion detectors that make the light brighter when there is movement 50 feet away or less, further reducing energy costs.
In addition to their cost efficiency, many are making the switch to LEDs for environmental reasons. They are one of the greenest options in lighting today. Learn more about garage lighting, and LEDs.
